Zabljak is a ski resort in the middle of a stunning National Park. The
town is well known not just for skiing, but also for hiking, walking tours
(around the Black Lake, up to the Snake Lake, to the Ice Cave, etc, etc, but
it is also in less than an hover drive from Tara Canyon, which is the 2nd
deepest in the world-after the Grand Canyon in Colorado).
Zabljak is a number one investment location here at the moment.
Area is still very much undeveloped and just starting to be discovered by
foreigners, so prices are still more than reasonable. Three out of four
hotels that exist in the town are to be privatized and are not in a great
condition at the moment, so there is a developed private accommodation
market. Rental season lasts from December till the end of March and from the
beginning of June till the end of September. At the moment, privetly owned
cottages are being rented for 50-90 Euro a day. At the same time, even those
are not exclusive, nor brand new or recently renovated and furnished.
Having read all this, you will find that it is not just a chance to buy a
property in a ski resort where prices are going to increase allot over the
next couple of years, but also that a nicely done property could bring a
fairly good rental return as well.
