The vineyard is established on gentle northerly facing slopes at approximately 60 metres height above the Heretaunga Plains. The slope and elevation offer maximum grape ripening while minimising the risk of late spring frost damage.

Grapes are sold on a rolling 3 year contract to the Villa Maria Group, processed at Vidals, Hastings. A proportion of the Chardonnay normally is used for Vidals multi award winning reserve Chardonnay, reflecting the very high standard of grapes produced on site.
Olive grove
Over 1 hectare is established to mature irrigated olives of over 30 varieties, which were established from 1993. This block has considerable production potential for a new owner.
Water supply
There is reliable artesian water shared by two neighbours. Supply is reticulated to on site storage tanks and pressurised to the house and vineyard by domestic (Lowara centrifugal) and vineyard (Grundfos SP8 A18) pumps.
